Hey, we're still alive!  It's a good thing, because I've got lots of projects to tackle in 2013.  Of course, my big thing at the tail end of 2012 was my art book, Ancients & Warriors (available through eBay [link] Etsy [link] and, of course, through a note here on DA.  All ya have to do is ask nicely, and I'll even throw in one of the original pieces of art that was used in the book, and I'll sketch you something inside the book as well.

But wait, there's MOAR!  I'm also coloring a badass post-apocalyptic steampunk bloodbath called Last Ride for Horsemen for Inverse Press.  The Kickstarter for that one starts in March, so I'll keep you guys posted on that.  In other Inverse news, I'll be doing a FULLY PAINTED zombie book for them in the near future, and I'm pretty sure it's going to be unlike anything you've ever seen.  I'm also coloring a graphic novel for Arcana Comics right now, but I'm not sure how much I can talk about that project, so I'm just going to leave it at that.

EDIT:// Sorry guys, but the sketchbook has sold!  I still have one calendar left, though.

I figured I'd give you guys first dibs before I put 'em on ebay   I've pretty much filled up one of my sketchbooks, so I figured I'd sell it.  I don't think I've posted anything from this particular sketchbook on DA, so it's all stuff you haven't seen before.  That's 50-60ish pages (it was a 92 page sketchbook, but I tore a lot of crappy ones out) for $40.  Plus, I also have full color 2012 calendars, full of your favorite paintings and drawings that I've posted on DA.  It goes from June 2012 to June 2013, so you actually can use it for an entire year, instead of having it cut off in December.  I'll throw the calendar in with the sketchbook for $15 extra, so both the sketchbook and the calendar would be a total of $55, and I'll pay the shipping.  Plus, I'll throw in some prints and original art for no extra charge.

Because I'm busy, that's why   What could I possibly be working on, you ask?  Well, for one thing, I'm coloring a graphic novel for Arcana Press called The Book, written by Erik Hendrix and drawn by Amanda Rachels!  Also, I'm coloring (and doing a few covers for) a book coming from Inverse Press called For Horsemen, which should be really good.  The Book should be coming out in December, but Horsemen is on a less rigid schedule.  I'll keep you guys updated about both of those projects.

Also, my mission to completely liquidate my original art continues.  I've been selling a lot of it on ebay, usually in packages of about 8 or 9 drawings or prints.  I'll keep posting in my journals when I've got new auctions up, but you can also check out my "for sale" gallery folder.  I've been scanning a lot of my older art before I sell it, so that's what's up with the glut of old art in my gallery.  I never scanned a lot of those, so I want to make sure to document my work before I get rid of it.

Those of you who are on the waiting list for commissions...thanks for your patience!  I'm kinda stalled right now (the above coloring deadlines, you know....).  Once I have The Book wrapped up, commissions should start flowing normally again.  Here's a list of upcoming and in progress commissions.  Keep in mind that they're not necessarily listed in the order I'm working on them, since I often work on two or three pieces simultaniously (it keeps the work fresh for me, which tends to yield better results).
