This one started as a sketch in the 11x14 sketchbook that I just sold, done at the request of the buyer.  I had such a good time drawing it, though, that I couldn't resist adding a splash of color.

Just photoshop. I shaded in in my sketchbook, then scanned it in and colored on top of it.

I love how you're able to retain the look of the pencil shading along with the photoshop coloring. I think that's so awesome. I'm gonna have to learn that.

I think the trick to it is to put your dark shading layer on the bottom, with your pencil lines on top of that, and then paint your highlights on a layer above the lines. I usually end up merging the layers about halfway through, but that's the way they're set up when I start.
