I'm planning on going all-digital for my next few commissions (if not permanently), so I thought I'd try out a few new techniques :) So far, I've thrown down new designs for Kyle and Hal, but I still haven't touched my favorite lantern, John Stewart. Maybe next time.

This version was pretty heavily inspired by the segmented GL suit from the animated movie, which, if you haven't seen it IS AWESOME!!! I tried to make it really look like energy armor, like it was a glass casing with green fire churning underneath. Also, I found a way to incorporate Hal's cheesy white gloves in a way that I found pleasing.

Would love to see Kyle in this though, it'd fit with the light armor theme of his original costume.

He used to make manga/anime inspired constructs back in the '90s, maybe that's the way to go for him.

That's a really clever solution for explaining the white gloves, even if Ilike the classic costume, I always thought it didn't make any sense that there was black and white in the suit when it was supposed to be ring-generated. Would love to see K
