When I saw this sketch by :iconlucianovecchio:, I had to color it. If the actual stills from Beware the Batman looked more like his drawing, I might actually want to watch it.

One thing I don't like by the looks of this show is that it's not going to have the classic villains like The Joker or Penguin.

Agreed. A Batman show without The Joker? Blegh. I also don't particularly care for the new "super cheap CG" trend that's going through animation right now. Like the GL animated show. I just hated the way it looked, especially up against the AMAZING look of Young Justice.

Props for your icon, btw. Titan A.E. is one of my favorites.

It's not the CGI I'm not liking, I mean some of my favorite animated movies like the Toy Story trilogy, or The Incredibles are in CGI. The things I really don't like about Beware the Batman is how there won't be any Classic villains like The Joker, or the Penguin. I mean that's like making a Spider-Man cartoon without Green Goblin or Doc Ock. The next thing is how Alfred will be carrying guns which is very out of character for him. That's like making Jarvis a killer robot. And yeah Titan A.E. is definitely Bluth, and Goldman's most underrated film.

Oh yeah, I've got nothing against CGI in itself. My favorite animated movie of all time is Tangled, followed closely by How to Train Your Dragon. I just don't like cheaply done CGI. It's something that you've got to put time and a little money into, or else it just doesn't look good.

And I totally agree about the bad guys. A Superman cartoon needs Lex Luthor, an X-men cartoon needs Magneto, and a Batman cartoon needs The Joker. It's fine to highlight the smaller villains sometimes, but you can't just ignore the big guns.

I've always been told that the best way to make your colors look good is to color a good penciler ;)
